This weekend I had the pleasure of photographing a bunch of really cool women. It was my first Bella Donna party of the new year and it was a HUGE success!! I am so excited about this. Bella Donna is a fabulous concept that Lauren (Expert Makeup Artistry) and I came up with. We knew that we wanted to work together and, while boudoir shoots are all the rage, we wanted to take the focus off the lingerie. Instead, we wanted our shoots to be about making a woman feel sexy and confident. EVERY woman. Whether you are big or small, blonde or brunette, single or married.
With every session you are treated to a glamorous makeover by the extraordinary Lauren Iavarone from Expert Makeup Artistry. I could not do these sessions without her. She is so talented and a super cool chick. She creates magic with her brushes and I get to capture it with my camera. I don’t know any girl who doesn’t like having her makeup done. It just makes you feel so good. I think the lashes alone are worth it.
Having a Bella Donna party is also a great girl bonding experience. All of the girls were nervous to have their picture taken, but it was so great to see everybody cheering each other on. Having your friends by your side creates a feeling of comfort and trust.
I am going to post a few pictures here but I also wanted to let you know that there is a separate Bella Donna blog. Lauren and I hope to do many more of these parties so I thought it would be better to post about them in a separate space.
