On February 18, 2010 this little bundle of joy came into this world into a family full of love. So much so that grandma and his aunts arrived at the hospital well after midnight just to sit and wait for his arrival. And wait they did. Brendan wasn’t born until 8 hours later.
Totally worth the wait wouldn’t you say?
I was warned as soon as I unpacked my camera that Brendan has a lot of ummm … gas. Now in my experience, that’s no big deal. I get peed on and pooped on all the time, but it’s always a little shocking for new moms and dads. So when I said I wanted to undress Baby Brendan, dad told me he was going to pee. And he was right! They were both good sports about it though.
I was also told that Mr. B is not much of a napper, but he just needed a little time that’s all. I love the way his toes are in this next picture.
Turns out that Brendan’s mom and I know a lot of the same people. She’s got fabulous taste too. I fell in love with their house as soon as I walked in. It’s absolutely gorgeous.
Being a newborn photographer is one of the hardest and most rewarding jobs. It takes a lot of time and patience but when you get images like these it is wonderful. I love meeting new moms and dads too because I can totally relate. I still remember those first few weeks as a parent. It was scary and confusing and sooooo special. I wish you both the best of luck. You’ve got a beautiful little boy!
